Want to know what to do if you decide not to get the Piggy-flu vaccine?

What ever happened to Avaian Flu (Bird Flu)?  Anybody YOU know ever catch it?  So, okay, the people who created Swine Flu (H1N1) in the lab - and disseminated it so we would have to by their products - may have done a better job this time than they did spreading Bird Flu.  But there are many ways to combat the flu without taking an injection of "God-knows-what-is-really-in-it."  Several options are mentioned below. I do not recommend any of these for pregnant women or anyone with already compromised health.

What to do?  First, any time you get a cold or flu there is a potent combination of vitamins and minerals you can ingest that will usually knock it on its' back. I learned this combination over 20 years ago from the wife of one of my professors at UNT. She was/is a dietician. I have used it successfully ever since and shared it with many other people. It works for them, too.

Here is Dr. Skoll's formula and directions for using it: "For colds or flu, take Zinc plus Vitamins A, C, and E. Take this combination every 4-6 hours for one to two days, and the dose of Vitamin C should be 1500.  Naturally you want to drink COPIOUS amounts of water all day long so you do not burn your liver or kidneys. If you do not need that much Vitamin C, your urine will look bright yellow.  If you do need that much, your urine will look normal. Adjust your intake of Vitamin C accordingly.  Take a normal dose of the other two vitamins and the zinc as indicated on the label." 

The homeopathic remedy for influenza also works quite well: Occillococcinum. You can get it at health food stores, or on the internet. Just follow directions. Never touch a homeopathic. Get it under your tongue without touching it.  Touching it changes the frequency.  Do not ingest caffiene or mint (including toothpaste) within 15 minutes before or after taking a homeopathic remedy.

The herbal remedy for influenza is anything with black elderberrry in it. (Nature's Way "Sambucus" is one brand.) I personally went out into the woods a couple of weeks ago and picked some elderberries, and put them in the blender. I am soaking the berries for two weeks in 100 proof vodka, which is half vodka, half water. This will extract the healing properties and preserve it for years. When I am done, in a week or two, I will strain the mix. and put it on the shelf. I will take about a half a teaspoon three times a day as a preventative. Do not try this yourself unless you are absolutely certain you know how to identify elderberry in the wild.  If you do know how, they are getting ripe about now. Do not get them confused with "poke berries" which are also ripe at this time.  Elderberries are in a flat, sky-facing cluster, with hundreds of berries on each stem, and each individual berry is just slightly larger than the head of a silk pin. You can find illustrations of these on the internet if you google it. Poke berries, also ripe, (phytolacca americana) hang down like grapes and each individual berry is just slightly smaller than the head of a pencil.  There are about 10-20 to a cluster. Again, what you want are elderberries, not poke berries! 

Or you can just order elderberry herbal medicine over the internet, manufactured by "Nature's Way."  Sambucus

Being naturally suspicious of anything that comes from large corporations, I was just waiting to find out what the truth was about LATISSE, the drug Brooke Shields is touting on TV to make your eyelashes longer and thicker.  Turns out it can cause hair to grow in other places near the treatment site (eyelids? nose? forehead? sinus cavities?) and was originally licensed just to treat glaucoma.  Want more information?
