What is Psych-K? Recent research indicates that the sub-conscious mind accounts for about 95% of all our mind processes. That part of the mind was formed before the age of seven. It has stored beliefs that are very literal, as children do take things quite literally, and therefore the beliefs can be totally erroneous and illogical.
This level of the mind can process information much faster than the conscious mind. So if this huge, powerful part of us has beliefs that are incongruent with or opposed to our conscious wishes and desires, then of course, we will not be able to manifest in our lives that which we want and desire. This sub-conscious part of us is "programmed" in childhood, and since it takes everything that is said to the child quite literally, even if it was not intended that way by our caregivers, teachers, siblings, etc. it can be way off base where our actual reality is concerned. This is all stored deep inside, affecting us profoundly throughout life.
Psych-K is a system which uses a blend of modalities, including neuro-linguistic programming, to get the sub-conscious mind's beliefs aligned with our conscious mind's wishes and beliefs. The purpose is to over-write some of those damaging or undermining messages we got when we were small. The Psych-K system always checks with the superconscious mind to assure that it is safe and appropriate to change the sub-conscious belief before proceeding. It also asks for the agreement of the subconscious mind as well before making any changes.
