Ringing ears, electric crazies, Mayan code, talking to yourself
Scroll down to see archived newsletters

Hello all,

First, let me say that I am happy that it is in vogue to talk to the little piece of plastic inside one's ear, so people do not stare so much when I am talking to myself.  Which, by the way, I do not actually do.  I do, however, talk aloud to my guides at times.  And, yes, they talk back.  Some of you know exactly what I mean, and others are questioning my sanity.  That's okay.  Soon everyone will be hearing voices, and in a good way.  Actually, the difference between psychic and delusional is that if you are psychic, when you hear voices or see extradimensional beings (angels, elves, your deceased granny), you don't expect anyone else to hear or see them at the same time you do.  Delusional people think everyone can hear and see the extradimensionals right along with them.  Seriously, that is the main difference.  (And there are certainly some other symptoms of psychosis, which if you are interested you can look up in the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychological Assn.".)

Speaking of crazy, Green Mountain Energy shut off my electricity without any warning yesterday because my mail was being returned to them.  The person I spoke with there had no idea why no one called me to tell me my mail was being returned. The attitude was, "That's the way the cookie crumbles," with no apology. Really, I also wonder how crazy the postman at my condo is.  Periodically he just sends mail back to its source, for no particular reason.  (I think the Rich Hill Postal Station must be very overwhelmed with work or something.)  But Green Mountain has aroused my ire, so if anyone knows a good electricity company that uses windmills and solar panels let me know.  I am switching as soon as possible.  The good news about all this is, though, that I discovered it is possible to sleep through the night in July in Houston without air conditioning.  Sweating may not be pretty, but it does cool you off! So does a cool shower. I managed.

The electric stove being affected as well, this morning I got really creative. I took three tea lites and put them under a ceramic collar that came out of an old table fountain, filled my smallest pan half-full with water, and sat it on top of it the tea light contraption.  When the water got hot about 15 minutes later, I made my green tea.  I had to keep the fridge closed, hopefully so that nothing would spoil before the electricity comes back on (promised within 48 hours of my 4 p.m. request yesterday).  So I used some powdered milk I had in the back of a cupboard along with raw cane sugar in the tea.  (I use milk in my tea because my English great great grandmother taught my grandmother to do that, and she taught me.)  The makeshift tea was divine!

Wondering why my electricity was really shut off, I mean, short of giving me a perfectly good reason to cry, the answer I heard was that this is a "dry run" for if we have odd things happen during the time when the Mayan calendar says we will have kind of a shake-up.  I also heard, "Is this the reality you want to manifest?"   Oh, and about "The Mayan Code", by Barbara Hand Clow, please, if you read it like I suggested last week, do take it all with a grain of salt.  She predicted 2007 would be really horrible and we are more than halfway through, and it is not.  She was right about some attempts at forced vaccines (remember the cervical cancer vaccine?), but for the most part, this is not an expecially horrific year, now is it?  So, in spite of her "big shake-up" predictions, especially for November of this year to November of next, I say, don't get your drawers all twisted up.  On the other hand, it won't hurt have a few candles and some dried rice and beans in the spare closet just in case, if it makes you feel safer.  If you never use them, you can give them to a food bank later.

Probably one of the most important things you can do right now is to work on yourself to stay in balance as the energy changes faster and faster.  Meditate, get energy work, do Reiki if you can, get massages, or BodyTalk, whatever.

Many people have reported the past few weeks that they are feeling either sick, or just very tired and having to rest a whole lot. I think this is pervasive right now.  Time is speeding up times 20 every year between 1999 and 2011, according to the Mayan calendar, and this is taking its toll.  Things are coming at us faster and faster, especially changes, both personal and cultural.  I have been having some dizziness upon sitting up too quickly, and on my days off, I rest more than I normally would.  Remember, I am a Virgo, we like to do, do, do.  "Projects" are our middle names.  My friend Virgo Donna's guides say that  my dizziness is because I am getting accustomed to a new level of energy, and releasing some old notions about what I am "hearing".  (I tend to discount my inner hearing/vision, because mostly the adults in charge told me I could not see or hear what I could see or hear when I was a small child.  So now I am unlearning that limitation.)

I have been distinctly hearing energy for quite a few years now.  When I give or receive BodyTalk or Reiki, or whenever a person, or plants or rocks with powerful energy fields are near me, I hear the energy. The pitch and tone varies depending on the source.  Some people who hear the ringing I am discussing think their ears are ringing at first.  The first time I ever heard this sound was in an energy vortex in Sedona, Arizona, back in the mid '80's, in Boynton Canyon.  I was in Sedona attending a seminar on psychic abilities taught by Dick Sutphen, and I asked about the ringing.  It was confirmed that this was coming from the vortex, and that other people could hear it, too.  Odd things have happened to me there.   It is a very mystical place.

Okay, odd things happen to me everywhere.  I have finally accepted that I have been leading a very mystical life all this time, even when I was unaware of it.  For example, quite by accident a couple of years ago, I got in touch with some girl I used to hang out with in Junior High in Dallas the early 1960's.  (Ah, the magic of the internet.) Her name was Jeanette.  She reminded me of the last time I saw her before my family moved to the suburbs. We were fourteen, and we were sitting at my kitchen table.  I just began telling her what was going to happen to her in the next few years. I said she would marry long before I did,  that she would have a child very early, and that her education would be cut short.  I also said that she would make up for everything she missed out on at school in a very exciting job several years after that.  I said that we would probably never see each other again, but we would talk on the phone.  She said it all came true, every last bit of it.  I must have been able to know the future way back then, but did not know what I knew.  I do remember saying all that stuff, but not until she reminded me.  As I look back at it, the whole thing seems very, very strange.

A couple of years before that someone I went to church with up until about the same age, fourteen or fifteen, showed up in my metaphysical shop.  This is only odd because I grew up in Dallas, over 400 miles away.  Her name was Jeannine.  She was in Houston to visit some embassy for a visa.  She reminded me that when we were kids, we discussed that we were here to save the planet, and perhaps even start a new religion, or something.  That part I had forgotten.  I was amazed that we knew that we had a  mission on earth, way back then, and that we actually talked about it.  She said we had talked about it even in elementary school.  We also had some very telling conversations about our mothers, which I had also forgotten.

I now find myself wondering a lot what children say to each other.  And when I am around them now I pay close attention to what they are saying between themselves, hopefully without being obtrusive.  You should try it some time.  It is pretty fascinating.  They are more aware than many of us realize.  Or try asking a child under the age of five who they were in their last lifetime, before they were born into this lifetime. Perhaps ask them what their earliest memory is, and if it was before they were born. Kids under about the age of five who are old enough to talk have some pretty interesting things to say on this subject.  Try to be open and allowing, not judging anything.  They will say more.

I think that is about it for now.  Let me know if you enjoy my occasional musings.  I will do more of it.  Email me if you have topics you want me to muse about, or questions of a spiritual or metaphysical nature, especially those whose answers you think might benefit others as well.  I will do my best.

Love, light and bliss,
