Herbal Estrogen: Is It Safe?
The ongoing estrogen debate from an herbalist's point of view is in
the link below. Basically, Susan Weed, an internationally
recognized authority on menopause the natural way, says that too
much concentrated plant estrogen can be dangerous, too. (I have
stopped taking the soy-estrogen, too much use of that over time can
cause cancer, too. Soy also blocks the uptake of calcium.) Here
Susan tells us what to do about getting enough estrogen safely from
the foods we eat, and which phyto-estrogenic herbs are safe in the
short term. Susan has written a book called, "Menopausal Years the
Wise-Woman Way."

CRYSTAL FEVER:
Last week I went to Hot Springs, Arkansas, to visit my high-school
friend, Kathy, and her husband, Jay. Kathy and I followed my
pendulum to a crystal mine in a neighboring area that I did not
previously know existed. I brought back some spectacular
crystals. I have had crystals from this mine before, brought in by
traders who would not reveal their source, of course. These
particular crystals did not hang around for long. People snatch
them up fast. Why? They have an amazing, powerful energy, and are
almost all multi-functional. Like, phantom, double terminated,
tabular, channeling, and cluster crystal all in one. Or twin
(relationship) recorder, rainbow, faden crystal all in one. WHEW!!
Many of them are clusters. The mining process is very earth-
friendly, and the owner, who took us on a tour of the warehouse
where the crystals are cleaned and stored, is a horticulturist by
training. He plants trees in the mined area after he is done, and
has planted many thousands of trees so far! Several of the crystals
have already gone to their intended owners, so if you are interested
in seeing these high-grade, spectacular crystals before they are all
gone, I will be open for you to drop in between 11:00 am and 6:30
pm, Tuesday through Friday of this week, August 30-Sept. 3.

The Ultimate Food Plan:
Okay, this just might be it. "The Maker's Diet", by Dr. Jordan
Rubin. Dr. Rubin got really sick, as a teenager, with Crohn's
disease, an "incurable" disease of the large intestine. He saw a
wholelot of medical docs and alternative practitioners before
discovering someone who taught him how to eat the diet given in the
Bible. To get well,(which he accomplished) he also supplemented
with soil organisms, which get killed off when pesticides get put on
our food crops, and from which most of the modern antibiotics have
been developed! He points out that in the book of Genesis, it is
said that we were made from the soil of the earth. This is probably
symbolic at a certain level, yet perhaps there is some truth to it
from the evolutionary standpoint as well!! This is a fascinating
read, and I highly recommend it. It makes total sense to me.

Were the Gods Really Ancient Astronauts?
Also, here is some interesting, and WAY out there, stuff on the
ancient planets (meaning what was here before earth was formed by a
collision of something with the original, larger planet that was in
this orbit, Tiamet). Plus it has information on NASA's search (and
Mufon's interest in) another planet that was identified by the
Sumerians, who correctly named the locations of all the planets,
including some that were just re-discovered by us, clever beings
that we are, in the past couple of hundred years. The one we have
not found yet is called Nibiru. The site has some cute little
videos you can watch.

IN MEMORIAM:

August 18,2004, my step-father, Raymond Bernard Kleypas of Dallas, Texas, died.

He was a rock of a man, quiet and strong, who stood by my mother,
Mary, through whatever life brought. He married her when she had a
lot of excess baggage, both emotional and physical, not the least of
which was an invalid father living with her and two not necessarily
small or cute children. I was thirteen at the time, and believe me,
not cute, actually a real handful, and my brother Gordon, was ten, a lot cuter, but not little either. They did have one really precious
child of their own, however, my beloved sister, Lisa.

Ray managed to patiently survive our teenaged growing up, my brother
and I, and my grandfather finally deciding to move to a nursing
home; sometimes I wonder how. He stood by my mother through thick
and thin, to my knowledge never once raised his voice at any of us.
He created an environment that was stable and safe for all of us.
Ray lived with my mother a total of 41 years in the same house, a
real contrast to all the moving around we had experienced before.
Right after they married, he moved us to a neighborhood where
expectations for kids were higher, and because of that, I think I
accomplished more in my youth and consequently beyond. He also
loved and was close with my two sons, Austin and Stuart. He was the
one grandfather they really knew well.

I just want to thank the Universe for bringing him into our
lives, for his steady influence, and for his noble passage into the
Light.
